The Michael Cherney Foundation (www.cherneyfund.org) has joined the efforts of IsrAid to assist the victims of the Japanese disaster, helping the thousands of refugees fleeing the country as a result of the earthquake, the tsunami and the danger of nuclear contamination. IsrAid was the first organization to deploy a team of rescue workers and doctors in the area of Japan after the natural disaster. IsrAid is a volunteer organization recognized globally for his work with the victims of the earthquake in Haiti. Another israeli to collaborating in Japan organization is ZAKA (www.zaka.org.il), a humanitarian organization recognized by the United Nations which currently brings together more than 1,000 volunteers dedicated primarily to rescue efforts in case of natural disasters or terrorist attacks. He is currently Israel’s largest non-governmental rescue organization, and works in partnership with State forces for the victims of all kinds of accidents and incidents in Israel and around the world. The Michael Cherney Foundation has been benefactress of this and other organizations devoted to the humanitarian cause, not only in Israel, but throughout the world. In addition to this, the Cherney Foundation was quick to provide financial assistance to a large number of Japanese NGOs with which has alliances in its campaign to sensitize citizens about Islamic terrorism.
